Sandler
Director | Choreographer

Hannah Sandler is a director, choreographer, and writer. As a storyteller, Hannah dances on the precipice between whimsy and depth, joy and severity, humor and pain, escapism and reality. She is particularly interested in exploring the oxymorons of visual storytelling as well as those of the human experience.
Hannah's work pushes traditional theatrical and dance-based frameworks to create visceral interdisciplinary genre-smoothie experiences that invite the audience to feel, breathe, and think.
Hannah is informed by her training in classical dance, fine art history, circus arts, and fiber arts, funneling her experiences into inherently holistic and worldly approaches to theater-making.
Hannah has a BFA in Directing, Playwriting, and Production from the University of the Arts.
In addition to her work as a theater/dance-maker, Hannah is also the founder & owner of sandmadeknits [click for more], a small business dedicated to knitwear design and knitting pattern development, collaboration, material sustainability, and slow fashion. Her writing has been published in several fiber arts magazines.
Hannah is also a certified Yoga teacher, juggler, and baker.
